@layers twitter was just a refuge for my forced migration from G+. I never really liked the tone and tempo over on the bird site. But it was better than Facebook and it's where most of my 3dp nerd friends went. I hope this new platform works out. It'll still never be as frictionless as Google Plus felt like to me. But it's the people, not the platform, that'll make it a home.

@layers It feels so much like the early days of Twitter. I mean, you can more or less watch ALL the feed from your instance without getting overwhelmed.
@layers Indeed, much better here. I haven't had a 5 minutes craft video shoved down my stream without requesting or the rest of the usual Facebook Twitter garbage.
So much easier to see the stuff you want and not the stuff that makes the platform/CEOs the most money.
Setting up a hashtag stream is a great way to find stuff when you are getting started.

@eclsnowman Twitter was fine for me for the longest time - but I really had to put the effort in to moderate my own timeline and to make a welcoming place.
