One reason why I try to make this information as widely and freely available as possible, is that I believe if we have some broad agreement on ways to make fiction contracts writer-friendly (in ways that let publishers do their thing) then we can cause change by asking together!

I also encourage you to talk to other writers about your fiction contracts (as long as you havent signed an NDA about them, which is not the norm for non-media-tie-in short fic anyway). If a clause seems weird you can ask another writer who has experience with contracts.
